Mohatta Palace Museum was build by Ahmed Hussein Agha on the request of the business tycoon Shivratan Mohatta towards the end of 1920.
Architectural pattern of Mohatta Palace, Karachi:
The palace was designed by a seamless amalgamation of pink and yellow stones . The palace bespeaks of refined and elegant grace . The palace has an arena of entertainment room as well as rooms for personal use.

There is also a space overlooking the Arabian Sea . There is a small structure on the roof of the palace which act as a shield against the scorching sun . The palace has some of the towers which lend it a stately and majestic appeal. The intricate and the subtle works of architecture of the palace epitomizes grandeur and flamboyance.
The tower was converted to a office of Foreign Affairs . After the demise of Mohammad Ali Jinnah , his sister used to stay there . Then the palace became the epicenter of a legal battle as a result of which the palace was under lock and key till 1995.
Renovation of Mohatta Palace, Karachi:
Later it was converted to a museum . The palace was given the original look by repairing and coloring it. The palace regained its lost beauty and now it is one of the architectural masterpieces which bear the vestiges of Pakistan's glorious history . The palace has witnessed the glorious era as well as the dark phase hitting it . The palace bears testimony to the fact that India and Pakistan have a common thread of unity , peace and love . The building was neglected and shunned for many years . The twist in fate restored its original gorgeous beauty .
Mohatta Palace, Karachi as museum :
The palace is now converted to a museum . The museum now showcases many exhibitions . There are many precious artifacts in the museum which woo hordes of tourists . A sense of brooding poignancy prevails over the palace coupled with a fond nostalgia reminding us of the tragic havoc wreaked by the menace of partition on India and Pakistan.
