Lahore is one the prominent cities of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The city bears resemblance of Mughal and the Sikh culture as it is very close to the Indian state of Punjab. The movements of people from both side of the border take place on regular succession.

Lahore is also known for some of the popular delicacies, which are relished not only by the local people but also by the tourists visiting this historical city. As different delicacies are prepared in Lahore, that is why the name of a road has been named Food Street, Lahore because of the popular delicacies prepared in the city.
Basically Lahore Food Street is a not so popular road of Lahore city. Pakistan’s famous Food Street is the old Laxmi Chowk of Lahore city. Pakistan’s Lahore Food Street is basically a hub of restaurants, juice, milk and sweet shops. All the shops are located in and around the area; hence it has been named as Food Street Lahore. This is the official name being given by Lahore Municipality. During the day the hub becomes busy due to other reasons. But when the sun sets in around late afternoon the scenarios changes dramatically. The other industries, which are operational during the day, are closed just at the dusk of the evening hours. Now comes out on the middle of the road along with their preparations. Then the flames of the cooking apparatus start flaming up. The lights of the different rooftops of the plush apartments of the city are put on to give a dazzling look to the entire city. The customers start pouring in around middle of the evening hours to make the entire ambience a vibrating and a pulsating one. Gradually the huge turnaround of passengers starts moving to the different vendors who are out with their popular delicacies. The delicacies like tikka, partridge meat, various sweet vendors, gajar ka halwa and other delicious items. During the evening hours the vendors don’t come out with only snack dishes, but also various types of sweets. There is a another popular place of culinary art in Lahore. The name of Faluda House is known all over. In Faluda House, a spaghetti like sweet is prepared which gives immense enjoyment to the food lovers of Lahore.
The turnaround of customers or food lovers doesn’t melt within 2200 hrs, it continues till midnight. This shows how the food lovers of Lahore are so fond of food. The Lahoreans craze for different types of delicious preparations still goes unabated.
